Project 1 – Leaflet copy: I was asked to write the first draft for a heading and description for an A5-sized leaflet to promote the Strive UK Anniversary Event. The client wanted a professional and punctuation-light writing style.
Project 2 – Video script copy: For the second project I wrote the first draft for the end-of-year video script which focused on the services and companies they helped during 2022.
Project 3 – Line editing: The Mastercard management team had to submit biographies to a panel of bankers looking to choose their payment suppliers for the next five years. The aim was to edit the biographies and reduce the word count to under 60 while maintaining critical information.
Solutions:
Project 1 – Leaflet copy: My research analysis and feedback from colleagues resulted in a more precise plan to achieve my objective. The beginning of the leaflet consisted of key bullet point statistics. The statistics were followed by a brief description highlighting the significant objectives and solutions offered by the program.
Project 2 – Video script copy: I created the plan and framework for the video script according to the client’s brief. Next, I wrote the first draft of the video script was using the framework which was based on an introduction summary and three key pillars followed by an outro.
Project 3 – Line editing: I had to edit the biographies for punctuation, grammar, spelling, word usage, and clarity. Additionally, I had to simplify the language to meet the word count requirement while maintaining the critical information.
